Do you suffer from facial pain, headaches, and earaches or are you unable to open your mouth fully?

TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) Disorders may be the cause!
.
What is TMJ?
TMJ Disorders (or TMD) are a misalignment of the upper and lower jaws. TMJ is aggravated by stress and is often the result of chronic jaw clenching and teeth grinding.
.
What are the signs?
TMD can present a distressing syndrome of pain, limited jaw movement, clicking, popping and crepitus (a grating sound similar to the crumbling sound of parchment paper) in the jaw joint. A wide range of symptoms may occur, such as headaches, muscle pain, ear pain, spasms of the head, neck, shoulder, and/or back dizziness, ringing and stuffiness in the ears, blurred vision, etc.
.
How are TMD's treated?
Treatment for TMJ is individualized and may include a combination of medical and dental therapies. Treatment of your particular problem will be determined by your particular diagnosis.
Call or E-mail us for more information on the treatment of TMJ.
